Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of HeyHangout. By using the service you agree to them. We've kept them short and direct.
What HeyHangout is
HeyHangout is a Telegram Mini App and bot that helps people plan hangouts and events, and meet up in person. It is available wherever Telegram is.
We run the platform; we don't organize the meetups. Hangouts, events and groups on HeyHangout are created by users, and we are not a party to any meeting that takes place.
Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to use HeyHangout. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your HeyHangout account is tied to your Telegram account; we don't store separate passwords. We may suspend accounts that harm other users or abuse the service.
Community rules
Treat people with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or content that promotes violence.
No advertising, selling or recruiting without our permission. HeyHangout is for getting together, not lead generation.
Don't impersonate others, don't post sexual content involving minors, and don't post anything illegal where you or the people you're meeting live.
References must be based on real meetups. Fake, retaliatory or coordinated references will be removed and may lead to suspension.
Your content
You own what you post — profile, hangout and event details, references, messages, photos. By posting, you give HeyHangout a limited license to show that content inside the service so other users can see it. The license ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only post content you have the right to share.
Payments (Telegram Stars)
VIP, event boosts and some paid events use Telegram Stars, Telegram's in-app payment system. Payments are processed by Telegram.
VIP lasts 30 days from purchase and does not renew automatically. Boosts are non-refundable once active.
For paid events, refunds are up to the organizer. If an event you paid for is canceled, contact us and we'll help sort it out.
Some organizers collect payment through their own link outside the app. Those payments are between you and the organizer — we don't process or verify them.
Meeting people safely
We don't verify venues, vet organizers, or guarantee that any meetup takes place. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and use common sense.
If you organize a hangout or event, you're responsible for it: accurate details, the venue's rules, the local law, and handling anything that comes up.
If someone makes you feel unsafe, report them in the app or contact us.
Termination
You can leave anytime via Settings → Account.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the community rules, harm other users, or abuse the service. We may also close accounts inactive for more than 12 months.
Liability
HeyHangout is provided as-is. We work to keep it secure and reliable but can't guarantee uptime, the accuracy of what users post, or how a meetup turns out.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for damages from your use of the service, including harm arising from meeting other users. You take part at your own risk. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll announce material changes in the app and on this page. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
